I'm Back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the long wait everyone! I was on vacation for a week on a cruise ship in the Caribbean and didn't have access to a computer. But now I'm back and ready to get back to doing what I love to do. So now onto the new things.

So I've started working on the latest chapter for Violet Eyes. It's coming along smoothly so it should be out no later than Saturday. Also I updated my blog so hopefully it will be easier to understand. There will also be a more detailed profile section on all my characters which I hope to have up by this weekend. Profiles are subject to change and will include more characters as the story goes on. So thank you for all your support and I hope you had a great week.

P.S.: For some reason my blogger has been doing this weird glitching and won,t let me comment as my self so for now on I comment as bria[b22]. Please don't think I'm ignoring you if it doesn't come up because I'm not. Sorry!

2

Here I am. Back where it all began.

Matilda stood at the doorstep, the massive wood door before her. What was wrong with her she wonderd. This was home, the place she had grown up. She shouldn't have been afraid yet some how she just felt something bad was going to happen.
I cant believe you, coward.
Her consious was right. Shaking any fear she had she pulled the key from her pocket. Nervously she turned the knob, not knowing what to expect.

To her surprise, her parents were gone. In their place was a little white piece of paper, her mother's fancy print on it.
Dear Matilda, your father and I have steppd out of town. Important business to take care of. Miss you.

Love, Mother
P.S. Behave, Esteban will take care of you.

Matilda stiffled a sarcastic laugh that was brewing down in the pit of her stomach. Are they kidding me. I'm 22 not twelve. As much as I'm concerned I can handle myself just fine.

Esteban stood off to the side. Matilda could feel his eyes on the back of her head, watching her every move. She would hate to admit but this creeped her out a little. Esteban was her care giver. She had known him since she was a young child, the age of 10. Back than he was a secriuty guard in need of a job and she was a young heiress in need of someone to care for her. Now it seemed as if things had changed. Snap out of it!

What she needed to do now was calm her nerves.

"I'm going to take a bath!" She shouted to Esteban from the stairwell. "Just thought you wanted to know."

"Very well than." He held his head down as he spoke. Matilda was suspicious. But than again Esteban was still Esteban. What did he have to hide." She contined to ascend the stairs when he called to her.
"Excuse me Lady Matilda do by any chance..."
"Yes"
"Nothing."
They starred at each other for a long while before Matilda turned her attention back to the staircase.

1

"Hello?"

The skies were full of gray as the storm clouds from overhead crashed down upon me. I looked down at my reflection in the muddy water. A pale face covered in tears and mud stared back. To compliment the appearance was a dingy white dress covered in blood. Not mine but someone else's. I looked around for help but all I could see was darkness. Not the kind of a chilly winter night but of one filled with monsters hidden in the depths of it just waiting to attack.

From behind me I could here a voice of a woman screaming. She was in so much pain that I wanted to help here but in this darkness even that was impossible. Still that didn't stop me. Getting up from the dirty ground I dusted of my knees and chased after the voice. I must have chased it for hours since first hearing it but it finally seemed as if I was right there.
"Just behind the darkness." I kept telling myself."Just behind the darkness."

Pushing through the tough wall of darkness I was surprised to find that it was a young woman, a girl in late teens with long black hair and pale skin that mirrored her own.
"Um excuse me are you okay mam?" I questioned. To my surprise there was no response. I tried again. "Excuse me miss are you alright." Still no answer.
Well alright, if you wont answer me than I just have to check you out for myself.

Being brave I turned the woman onto her side, strands of hair falling from her face. "Aah!" I staggered back in horror. The screaming woman was me!

"Lady Matilda! Lady Matilda!" Opening my eyes, I realized that it had all been a dream. Thankful I stared up at Esteban, a worried look on his face.
"Lady Matilda are you okay.?"

"Yes I'm fine."  I tried to put on my biggest best smile for him. Thankfully it worked. Pleased, he turned around in his seat and drove up to the front of the house.

I stared outside the at the place that I for years had called home.

Prolouge

MY DEAR CHILD

Born a miracle
Given as sin
This tiny child
That lies within
Hopeless and helpless
It tries to crawl
To the very ones
Who did it wrong
Naive it may be
But not for long
For it grows up slowly
But blossoms up strong
